Our Mission: To preserve and share powerful stories of historical and cultural significance through documentary film — ensuring that overlooked legacies are remembered and understood.
Our Vision: To create meaningful, historically grounded documentaries that restore lost narratives and inspire future generations to engage with the past more honestly.
ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE STORIES LLC
Lighthouse Stories LLC was founded to illuminate stories that history has overlooked — narratives rooted in cultural memory, social truth, and human resilience.
We produce documentary films that preserve legacy, restore historical presence, and give voice to individuals and families whose contributions were quietly erased or forgotten.
Our current project, Gridiron Diaspora, is a feature-length documentary centered on Henry McDonald — a Haitian-born athlete who became one of the earliest Black professional football players in America, before the NFL. His life reflects both the promise and the cost of breaking barriers in early 20th-century America.
As a Haitian-led production company, Lighthouse Stories believes film is a powerful tool for education, restoration, and connection. Our work is guided by respect for history, collaboration with families, and a commitment to telling stories with care, accuracy, and purpose.
